Bio:

Linden Sinensis, a 22 year old elven ranger with mossy green hair
and violet eyes, 5’6", 135lb.

Belief: I shall never be caught off-guard, and those who pray on the innocent shall pay!

Linden’s family traveled around the Cauldron area and beyond,
entertaining common folk with traditional elvish music. As a young
boy, Linden would amuse himself by falling behind or running ahead
and stealthily pretend-tracking the party. When he was about 14,
during one such two-day excursion, Linden found that the party was
being attacked by bandits. He was able to help drive off the attackers
by picking them off with arrows from the cover of the trees, but it
was to late to save his parents. Blaming his parents’ death on
himself, Linden stormed off and isolated himself from civilization.
After staying in the wilderness for 3 years, perfecting his tracking,
stealth and archery skills, Linden ended up back in the Cauldron
region. He came upon some bandits laying in hiding, waiting to ambush
a passing merchant. Enraged by the sight, and flashing back to his
slain parents, Linden silently took the bandits out one by one. He
thought he could find redemption defending innocent travelers against
those who would do them harm.

These days, Linden spends the majority of his time trekking parallel
to well traveled roads, looking to sneak up on bandits who are waiting
to ambush passers-by. He sleeps mostly outdoors, sometimes renting a
room at the Drunken Morkoth Inn when near Cauldron and the weather is
especially inhospitable. Occasionally, Linden joins the town guard on
monster raiding parties, escorts merchants and nobles for pay, and
does other security jobs. Since his lifestyle doesn’t require much
income, Linden can be selective about which jobs he takes, usually
picking ones which are more philanthropic or fun in nature and
something he may do even if he wasn’t being paid.

When resting, Linden likes passing the time by whittling flutes and
small whistles in the shape of animals which he usually gives away to
children. When in town, he likes people-watching while whittling or
sipping a beer. Linden is more contemplative than a typical elf, to
the point of seeming to drift away, even during conversation. At
times, he gets in trouble because he can easily fly off the handle
when witnessing bullying. At other times, if he’s unable to interfere
immediately, he may feel justified in small acts of sabotage, like
loosening stirrups of the offender’s horse or stealing from the bully
and clandestinely depositing the proceeds with the victims.
